Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, where he coordinates the Master's Degree Course in Marketing and Communication. At Ca' Foscari he graduated cum laude and later obtained a Ph.D in Business Administration, with a one-year scholarship at UCLA - University of California Los Angeles. A student of automotive scholar Giuseppe Volpato, he has cultivated a mix of research and relations in the context of automotive marketing for thirty years, with invitations as a speaker at over 250 conferences in five languages in 20 countries. After a long militancy in the research network ICDP - International Car Distribution Programme, he conceived Automotive Dealer Day in 2003, of which he is Thematic Coordinator, and co-founded Quintegia taking care of the scientific coordination of various projects. In his private life, he devotes himself to his wife and three children who have - rightly and fortunately - cured his prolonged addiction to music, piano and electronic keyboards, while reinforcing his curiosity about the meaning of life.

Carlo Carraro is Professor of Environmental Economics at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where he was the Rector from 2009 to 2014. He was also the President of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and the Scientific Director of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM). Since 2009 he has been Vice-President and member of the Bureau of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the United Nations organisation dealing with climate change, awarded the Nobel Prize in 2007. He is also a member of the High Level Advisory Group of DG ECFIN of the European Commission, of the Mission Structure of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and of the Strategic Committee of the EuroMediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC). Before coming to Ca' Foscari, he taught at the University of Paris I and the University of Udine. In 2016 he became an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists and in 2020 of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. He is also a member of the Academia Europaea, the World Economic Forum (WEF) Expert Network and the Center for Economic Policy Research in London. In 2013 he was awarded the title of Grande Ufficiale Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana by the President of the Italian Republic. He holds a PhD from Princeton University.

Before joining the family business full-time in 1990, he worked at the London office of Banca Commerciale Italiana, in the City at the Broker Investigation department. Upon joining Scarabel Spa, his first assignment was to develop Business Management, and in 1993 he became responsible for the Porsche brand. He then followed the economic-financial planning and subsequent organisational development of Euganea Motori, Alemagna Motori, Auto Technik, Garage Südtirol, Horizon Automotive NE and other Group activities. Today, the Scarabel Group represents in the automotive industry the brands Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Cupra, VW Commercial Vehicles, Ducati, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Aixam in a total of 14 locations. Currently, Roberto Scarabel is the sole director of the group, which is totally family-owned. He graduated in Business Economics, with a legal focus, from the Cà Foscari University of Venice with a thesis entitled 'Economic and Organisational Problems in Commercial Automobile Distribution', with lecturer Professor Giuseppe Volpato, a founding partner of Quintegia, "a special person who gave me so much and whom I like to remember on the day of my election as president of AsConAuto", says the newly elected president of the Association.
