Born April 23, 1996, in Lleida, Alex Márquez has lived surrounded by motorcycles practically from the earliest years of his life and found himself fascinated by everything related to the world of two wheels. As a child he wanted to be a mechanic for his brother, but soon realized that he also wanted to grab the handlebars and press the throttle to the max. There are few combinations more foolproof than talent, hard work and humility to end up being a great rider. By the age of eight, Alex had already started competing and fighting for victory in the PromoRacc 50cc and followed in his brother's footsteps with the Catalan Championship title. He gradually burned through the ranks until his debut in 2010 at the Campeonato de España de Velocidad. In 2012 he won the 125cc Spanish Championship in the CEV and in 2013 he had already contested his first full World Championship in Moto3. From here on it is known the story of Alex Márquez, two-time World Champion with the Moto3 Titles in 2014 and Moto2 in 2019. At the end of 2019 he joined Team Repsol Honda with his brother Marc as his teammate for the 2020 season. In his first year in the premier class, Alex took two consecutive places in the French and Aragon GPs. He narrowly missed out on the Rookie of the Year award. In 2021, Alex Márquez switched to Team LCR Honda CASTROL, working hard all season and finally getting a P.4 and "Best Independent Team Rider" at the Algarve GP. 2022 marks his second year on the LCR roster, which was born in 1996 just like Alex.
